Training To become a driving instructor comes in three parts .
ADI TRAINING PART ONE ( THEORY )
Part one of the qualification process comprises two separate tests, and you are required to pass both .
The theory test checks your knowledge of the Highway code , general road safety,
driving techniques , also basic first aid and the theory of instructing a pupil.
The second part of the theory test is the hazard perception test.
U-Drive will supply all necessary training materials to pass your theory test.
ADI PART TWO
The second stage of training is an advanced practical driving test . You will be expected to demonstrate a high professional
level of driving ability with a DVSA examiner . Training for this part is 10 hrs of one to one training with a qualified u-drive instructor.
The test is about one hour long which includes an eye test at the beginning , also general vehicle maintenance questions.
ADI PART THREE
The final stage of the training is to be able to pass your driving skills on . This training involves 40hrs training with a qualified trainer , after completing your 40 hours you can apply for a trainee licence from fro the DVSA. The trainee licence last for 6 months , in which time you have to pass your ADI PART THREE .
How long will it take to train?
It can all be done within 12 weeks providing test dates are available.
How much can I earn?
A 40 hrs week of instructing at u-drive will give you a gross of £920 to £1000.
